Woohoo!

Treatments are completed!! We are so glad! We appreciate all the help from our precious family, all the prayers and good wishes from friends and loved ones that helped us get this far. The shingles are still giving Steve fits but the lesions are gone so he is prettier for me to look at again! We are hopeful the lingering pain will subside soon. He finished the last of the treatments yesterday and got unplugged, untaped , unwired, unpacked, etc and is a lighter man for it....although lighter is probably not the right direction as far as weight goes. he is pretty skinny! He says he is going to stay thin but we both want it to be a healthy thin for sure! I took this great picture of him and Jadon. It's worth a thousand words and expresses their joy of being through this phase. It's barely been 24 hours and just through curiosity Steve discovered they (MDA) already have his followup tests scheduled starting Dec 7 and admitting for surgery on the 15th!!! Whew! This is probably excellent timing to get it all in before end of year. I'll be off for Christmas break which will help and for the week of surgery the hospital will still be fully staffed which is comforting to say the least. So we continue to have blessings to be thankful for along the way. Our prayers continue for Mady's godmother Joyce and for our 9 year old relative Truman who just survived leg amputation and is facing several more rounds of chemo to rid his little body of osteosarcoma. There is much sadness in the world or so it seems right now...and many miracles and blessings to light the way. Joy to you all. Stay healthy and love a lot! Denbie
